The legal bits
Cookie policy
The shortest page on this site, because there’s almost nothing to disclose. Last updated: July 2026.
This is a working draft prepared for review. It is not legal advice and will be reviewed by a qualified professional before this site launches.
The short version
This website sets no cookies. None. No advertising trackers, no social media pixels, no analytics cookies, and no cookie consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser, usually to remember who you are between pages. Cookies themselves are neutral. What matters is what they’re used for. Most sites use them for advertising and tracking. We don’t, and we think it would be wrong for a counselling website to feed information about its visitors to advertising networks.
The booking page is a separate service
When you press “Book a session”, you leave this website for our booking page, which is run by Cliniko, the Australian practice-management software we use. Cliniko sets the cookies it needs to run bookings and secure payment (card processing there is handled by Stripe). Those cookies belong to Cliniko’s service and are covered by Cliniko’s own policies. They are strictly functional; booking wouldn’t work without them.
Managing cookies yourself
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Two things to know if you do:
- Browsing this website will work exactly the same with all cookies blocked.
- The Cliniko booking page needs its cookies to process bookings and payments, so booking online may not work with cookies fully disabled. You can always contact us at Veloracounselling@outlook.com.au instead.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce a cookie that isn’t strictly necessary, or any cookie at all, this page will be updated first and the date at the top revised. Given how little we use, we don’t expect that to happen.
